Butterfly Garden, Lakeside Park Fond du Lac
Green Thumb Garden Club maintains an extensive flower garden on Fountain Island, Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac that s currently on the national registry with Monarch Watch as a Monarch way-station. The garden contains primarily perennials to attract butterflies with host plants such as milkweed, butterfly weed, dill, fennel and parsley. Pollinator friendly annuals provide color all summer. and food for a variety of butterflies. The garden is located at the water's edge next to two gazebos where many weddings and events are held. The hard work by our Butterfly Garden volunteers provide a beautiful and colorful backdrop for any occasion ot just to stop by the water's edge and enjoy.
